Anyone who knows me well knows I've been DYING to get a face with freckles in front of my lens. I LOVE freckles!! I was so excited when we pulled up to Kerry Park and met Russ and his sister. The setting was gorgeous, the light coorperative, the skyline view of Seattle matchless, and the freckles...sublime!
We actually had to reschedule our shoot due to all the smoke and haze we had in September, but the wait was worth it. I'm so thankful to Russ's mom for introducing me to this location. Honestly, when she mentioned it and I looked it up online...I was less than thrilled. Remember the tiny park on Parks and Recreation? This is Seattle's version of that. I took a look at the pictures online and thought to myself, what am I going to shoot that's not skyline related?? Well, I've been schooled. The neighborhood adjacent to the park is AMAZING - full of gorgeous old homes and mature tree-lined sidewalks...the kind you remember at your grandmother's house. Suffice it say, this is a new big-time favorite location!
Russ's mom and sister got in on the fun and I'm so very pleased with the results.
By the way, Russ is graduating from Interlake this year and plays soccer :)
And now, for your viewing pleasure, one of my favorite shoots to date!
