Every wedding day is a once in a lifetime event! I have often wondered about wedding photography and how I would like it.
When a fellow photographer mentioned she was looking for a second shooter for an outdoor wedding early in August, I was compelled to throw my proverbial hat into the ring. I knew that she would be wonderful to work with, and that this would be a great opportunity for me to dip my toe into the whole wedding photography experience.
Jessica and Jeremiah were a fun (and very in love!) couple, and their wedding was gorgeous down to the last handmade detail. I really did feel blessed to be a part of their special day, and the setting was amazing - acres of pristine, family-owned forest with a lovely log cabin and lake.
I'm not going to lie...it was an exhausting and long day (I was sore for a week afterwards), but because we were continually working, and surrounded by happy people celebrating the love of the happy couple, the time really did seem to fly by. I couldn't have asked for a better first wedding scenario!
